HEALTH & MEDICAL

Cats will not be accepted for boarding without a VALID and UP TO DATE vaccination card. All cats must be vaccinated annually with the booster vaccination administered no longer than 12 months from the previous vaccination.

Vaccination cards will be retained at Rhoden Manor Cattery as evidence of vaccination for the duration of the boarding period.

Male cats over the age of 12 months will only be accepted for boarding if neutered.

Owners must inform Rhoden Manor Cattery at the time of booking and arrival of any medical history which may affect the cats stay at the cattery, including any pre-existing or recurring medical conditions.

Rhoden Manor Cattery reserves the right to contact the owner’s veterinary surgeon to discuss any past or current medical problems in the event of illness or injury.

In the event of illness or injury Rhoden Manor Cattery will make reasonable endeavours to contact the owner or the owner’s emergency contact, prior to any treatment deemed necessary by the cattery veterinary surgeon.  If contact is not possible treatment will take place without the owner’s consent. Daily medications can be administered with prior notice and charged individually e.g. added to food, by mouth, diabetic injection, applying cream etc. These are signed off once administered by staff.

Any veterinary fees incurred by Rhoden Manor Cattery in the treatment of an historical or ongoing medical condition, will be the sole responsibility of the owner and will be paid in full by the owner.

Rhoden Manor Cattery reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse admission to any cats showing signs of illness pending veterinary advice.

Any treatment deemed necessary for the cats comfort and well being e.g. worming or flea treatment, will be carried out at Rhoden Manor Cattery’s discretion and shall be charged to the owner.

Rhoden Manor Cattery will administer medication to manageable cats. However, should there be a risk of harm to cattery staff or to the cat itself, veterinary care may be needed. Except as otherwise set out in these terms and conditions, any veterinary fees incurred will be charged to the owner of the cat.

BOARDING

Boarding rates are charged on a daily basis including the day of arrival and departure and includes food (unless on a specific diet eg; Science Plan, Royal Canin etc) bedding, litter and scratch posts etc.

Full payment is required on arrival or before of the boarding period.

Cancellation of/and amendments to the full boarding period within 7 working days of its commencement will require payment of the full boarding fees.

Less than 3 days boarding is permissible but there is a minimum stay fee of £30.00.

Boarding prices are reviewed annually and revised charges are effective from 1st January. Please check prior to booking for the following year. If you do not agree with any price increase that may affect your booking, you are entitled to cancel the booking without penalty.

Rhoden Manor Cattery will use all reasonable endeavours to feed as instructed by the owner. However alternative diets/brands may be fed if the cat is not eating its usual diet.

Cats must be transported in a secure and suitable pet travel carrier.

Rhoden Manor Cattery requires an EMERGENCY contact number for a friend, relative or neighbour should the owner be out of contact. A contact number for a standby collector (if different) should also be provided should the owner be delayed, as we cannot guarantee to be able to board your cat for extra days.

Whilst every care will be taken by Rhoden Manor Cattery all belongings are left at the owner’s risk. Any items left unclaimed by owners after 7 days following boarding will be disposed of.

Whilst every care and precaution is taken with every cat boarded at Rhoden Manor Cattery, the proprietor cannot be held responsible for any illness, disease or death that may occur during boarding.
